Erica Bonkowski is a LA-based art director, who previously lived in Brooklyn, NY. Born and educated in Massachusetts, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Northeastern University of Boston. Originally focusing her career primarily on print editorial, she has worked for magazines such as Brides, Boston Magazine, Elle, More, Dwell and Entertainment Weekly. She is currently the Senior Art Director at The Envelope, a L.A. Times magazine. Her passions also include photo & motion production, video editing and motion graphics design. Previously she designed in-house branding & marketing at Beautycounter as Senior Designer. Freelance projects include the SPD 51st Design Annual, and clients include Pop-Up Magazine and Netflix. Her work has been awarded by organizations such as the Society of Publication Designers, American Illustration and the LA Press Club.
